The Toronto City School District is currently seeking a head varsity volleyball coach for the 2019-2020 school year. Minimum Requirements include previous coaching
experience preferred; high moral
character, proper role model for the students and the community, integrity, and
effectively communicates well with players, parents, community members,
coaches, and school officials; ability to organize, supervise, and give direction to a sports team/program; knowledge of the technical and fundamental aspects of the assigned sport; a commitment and willingness to continue to learn and examine new ideas pertinent to the assigned sport; proper working knowledge of rules and regulations established by the league, the school, Ohio High School Athletic Association, and the Board of Education; a valid and proper licensure and certification(s) defined in accordance with the Ohio Department of Education, the Ohio High School Athletic Association, and the Toronto City School District; an acceptable BCI report and FBI report; and the ability to meet all job expectations and objectives.
Substitute Teaching and Support Staff

Substitute Opportunities for Civil Service
The Toronto City School District’s custodian, secretary, and cook positions are under the Toronto Civil Service Commission. In order to substitute in these positions, a candidate must pass the civil service exam for the job. Consideration for full or part time employment is based on a candidate’s ranking on the civil service list for the position. In addition, all candidates must have a valid Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and/or FBI criminal background check.
