Annual Notification of Wellness Policy

The Toronto City School District is committed to creating an environment conducive to the health and well-being of the students, staff, and faculty and to supporting families in promotion of health and wellness in their homes and community. The Toronto City School District Board of Education has adopted a School Wellness Policy that addresses: nutritional standards of foods and beverages sold on school grounds; nutrition promotion and education; physical activity and education; and other activities that promote health and wellness in the school and community.

The district wellness committee is led by the Superintendent and school administrators.  If you would like more information regarding the district wellness committee please contact your building principal.

Toronto City School District operates under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and is proud to offer free breakfast and lunch for all students. Our cafeteria also offers additional meal items and a la carte snack and beverages for sale. All items sold fit the USDA’s Smart Snack guidelines. We accept cash in the cafeteria or you can provide funds for your child digitally using the Payschools platform. Instructions to set up an account are linked below.
