Annual Notice of General Monitoring

Recently passed legislation requires school districts to provide an annual notice to parents in any school year when it will generally monitor school-issued devices. School-issued devices include hardware, software, devices, and accounts that the school district, acting independently or with a Technology Provider, provides to an individual student for the student's dedicated personal use. Toronto City School District ("District") will either directly or through a Technology Provider, monitor electronic data on school issued devices during the school year for the circumstances listed in Section 3319.327(B) of the Ohio Revised Code, as is standard practice at school districts across the state.

Notification Regarding Student Data and Privacy

Students and parents may review all technology providers that have access to students’ educational records for the purpose of providing curriculum, testing, or assessment services. Type 1 Diabetes Informational Materials

Ohio Revised Code 3707.61 requires the Ohio Department of Health to create informational materials on type 1 diabetes for parents, guardians, educators, and other persons having care or charge of children.

Ohio Revised Code 3313.7118 requires each public school and chartered nonpublic school that serves elementary school students to provide an electronic or paper copy of informational materials to each student’s parent or guardian on the student’s enrollment in elementary school.
