The 2026 THS Alumni Service Award was presented to Kevin Gillis by THS Alumni President Jay Foster. Mr. Gillis is a 1976 graduate of Toronto High School. He began his career in the Toronto City School District as a substitute custodian in 2020 and later assumed a part-time custodian position in 2021. Kevin’s pride in his work is evident in everything he does. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the school is clean, safe, and welcoming, paying close attention to even the smallest details. Beyond his daily responsibilities, Kevin is a familiar and supportive presence at school events, regularly attending football, basketball, and baseball games to cheer on all of our athletes. His warm personality, friendly attitude, and genuine care for students and staff have made a lasting and positive impact on the school environment. Kevin and his wife Roxanne live in Toronto, OH. The couple has one daughter, Jennifer Gillis Gooch, who teaches second grade at Toronto Elementary School.
Congratulations to Kevin Gillis! He represents the very best of dedication, school spirit, and service to the district.
