CASE CLOSED! MISSION ELEMENTARY STEM CAMP ACCOMPLISHED!
What an absolutely mind-blowing 3 days of STEM camp this week! Our brilliant young scientists, engineers, and cadets took on three massive hands on challenges and absolutely crushed them. Here is a look inside the three rooms they conquered:
Room 3: The Case of the Exploding Science Fair Volcano
Our elite Forensic Crime Units stepped into a crime scene! Acting as forensic chemists, CSIs, and trace evidence analysts, students tested chemical residues, matched footprints, analyzed pH levels, and examined handwriting to catch the science fair saboteur. Case closed!
Room 2: NASA Mission Control Escape
"Find life near Mars!" That was the final code our cadets cracked to save the International Space Station. From designing straw-powered rockets and navigating "zero-gravity" laser fields to building re-entry capsules that protected marshmallow astronauts from a stairway drop, our teams showed ultimate teamwork!
Room 1: Rubber Band Car Engineering
The factory floor was buzzing! Students solved riddles to scavenge their car parts, learned the physics of friction and axles, and engineered custom rubber band cars. They even built their own cardboard " neighborhoods" and calibrated their vehicles to successfully "drive" the farthest.
A HUGE THANK YOU to our phenomenal teacher volunteers and our energetic high school volunteers! We could not have pulled off this unforgettable week without your passion, leadership, and dedication.
Drop a comment below to let us know which room was your student's favorite!
