Our district is committed to supporting students and families both inside and outside the classroom. To make it easier for parents to find help when they need it, we have added a direct link on our website to the Jefferson County Resource Network. Visit the Parent & Students page to find the link on our website.
The Jefferson County Resource Network is a centralized, easy-to-use website designed to help residents quickly locate local service providers across Jefferson County, Ohio. The goal is to make sure families have access to accurate, up-to-date information when they are looking for assistance. The site brings together a wide range of community service providers and organizes them into clear categories so users can find help without frustration.
By placing a direct link to the Jefferson County Resource Network on the Parents & Students page of our website, we are removing barriers and giving families a single, reliable starting point when they need assistance. Parents no longer have to search multiple websites or rely on outdated information because help is organized, current, and accessible in one place.. We encourage families to explore this resource and use it whenever the need arises. Access to support matters, and this is one more way we are working to connect our school community with the services available right here in Jefferson County.

Miss Columbiana-Miss Maddie Anderson a 2021 THS Graduate came to visit Mrs. Gooch's class and did a lesson on kindness. Each student randomly selected a classmate’s name from a hat and wrote them a kind holiday note.
They placed their special note inside a Christmas ornament, decorated it, and took it home...so anytime they look at it this season, they’ll know they have at least one person in their corner ❤️
Her goal is to teach people of all ages that kindness goes such a long way! Way to go Maddie and good luck competing in Miss Ohio!

The T-Town Helpers trip to the Laurel's for today, Monday 12/15/25, has been canceled. Students will be going on Tuesday 12/16/25 @ 10:00 am
We want to give a big shout-out to Tara from our cafeteria team for spreading holiday cheer throughout Toronto Elementary! This week, Tara handed out Christmas bags filled with nutritious breakfast choices to our students. Her kindness, creativity, and commitment to supporting our kids make such a positive difference every day.
Thank you, Tara, for making this season a little brighter- and a lot healthier- for our school community!

As part of a research project, they wrote letters to college football teams and the responses rolled in! Some even received personal notes from Georgia Coach Kirby Smart, Temple QB Evan Simmons, and others — plus tons of merch, stickers, and surprises. Their smiles say it all. ❤️

Mrs. Nikki Fisher’s 5th grade math classes recently completed an i-Ready Lottery Challenge for November! For every teacher-assigned i-Ready math lesson a student passed with a score of 80% or more, they got to choose an empty numbered square on our 1–110 chart and write their name in.
Once all the squares were filled, we used a digital number spinner to randomly select three winning numbers… and we have our winners!
1st Place: Sheamus Lamantia
Awarded 20 Class Dojo points, a homework pass, and a gold coin for the school book machine!
2nd Place: Jessica Chipps (missing from the picture)
Awarded 15 Class Dojo points and a homework pass!
3rd Place: Brody Calhoun
Awarded 10 Class Dojo points and a homework pass!
We will start the next iReady Lottery Challenge on December 2nd when we return from break!
So proud of all our hard-working 5th grade mathematicians… keep up the great effort!

Toronto Elementary Attendance Incentive Newsletters-
TES recognizes students' attendance monthly with brag tags. During October, the Super Hero Attendance Wall of Fame was designed to acknowledge students who arrive at school on time and are present daily for the nine weeks. The challenge for the second nine weeks is to reduce pressure, with a 12-hour-or-less attendance rate for students to arrive at school. TES would like to reward not only the student in January, but also the adult(s) helping to get the student to school. It takes a team to do so, and TES would like to acknowledge those involved.

We’re proud of our students for making great choices! 💛

Our top homerooms were:
1st Place: Mrs. Wagner’s class with 209 items
2nd Place: Mrs. Wright’s class with 164 items
3rd Place: Mrs. J. Fisher’s class with 152 items
Thank you all so much for your overwhelming generosity and support!
